I'm struggling with these. Not getting out much. Cant find v interesting people. Feeling not confident in approaching them. The second one looks better in colour, but would like all to go together.
I would keep the images in this series as verticals. Firstly it subconsciously reminds us that you are capturing a series of portraits (which has a traditional aspect) and ties the photos together cleanly. Doesn't mean that alternatives are not possible however.
I think you've found some interesting subjects so perhaps you just need to do many many more. This will give you greater confidence and a better understanding of where this is going or could go. Just make it your business to photograph 10 new people a day, no special ideas or arrangements, just as you meet people on the street.
Setting a daily target means you can relax when it's met, it doesn't put pressure on you to make meaningful images, just a set number without pressure. You're an Aussie so that has to open doors in the US.
